Our advice
- We would treat an auction garage as a gamble with spare Cash, not as a way to earn. A junkyard car shows its market value and asking price before you pay, so you can check the margin first.
- We would not spend Robux on the store garages. The store does not say what comes out of them or whether they match the 65K Cash garage, so you would be paying for a car you know nothing about.
Mechanic Legends Auction Garages, step by step
-
Step 1: an auction garage gives one random car, from bad to very rare, and you see it only after you open it. Illustration by MechanicLegends.org Know what is inside a garage
One random car comes out of every garage you open at the auction house. It can be anything from a bad car to a very rare one, and you find out which only after you open it. As of the October 29, 2026 update, no source we have gives the odds of a rare car.
-
Step 2: pay 65K in-game Cash at the auction house. The store also lists a Regular Garage for 95 Robux and a Premium Garage for 179 Robux. Illustration by MechanicLegends.org Choose how to pay
An auction garage costs 65K in-game Cash. The Robux store also lists Open a Regular Garage at 95 Robux and Open a Premium Garage at 179 Robux on October 30, 2026. By our calculation from those store prices, that is about 54,900 and 103,500 Cash at the best Cash pack rate. The store does not say whether either one is the 65K Cash garage.
-
Step 3: hold E on a junkyard car to see its condition and market value. A garage shows nothing until it is open. Illustration by MechanicLegends.org Compare it with a junkyard car
At the junkyard, hold E on a car to open its inspection panel. It lists the condition, damaged parts, repairs, market value and asking price, so you know the margin before you pay. An auction garage shows none of that until it is open.
-
Step 4: open a garage only with spare Cash, after setting aside enough for your next junkyard car. Illustration by MechanicLegends.org Open one only with spare Cash
Open a garage when you already have enough Cash set aside to buy and fix your next junkyard car. If a bad car comes out, your next flip or customer job can still go ahead, and you have lost only the spare Cash.
Where people get stuck
You spend all your Cash on one garage and get a bad car
Set aside enough Cash for a junkyard car and its repairs before you open a garage. Then a bad result costs you only the spare Cash, not your next flip.
You assume the Robux garages are the 65K Cash garage
The store lists Open a Regular Garage and Open a Premium Garage, but it does not say whether either one is the garage you buy for 65K Cash at the auction house. Treat them as separate items until the game says otherwise.
You buy a junkyard car without inspecting it
Hold E on the car first. The inspection panel lists its condition, damaged parts, repairs, market value and asking price, which is the one thing an auction garage cannot give you.
How much does an auction garage cost?
As of the October 29, 2026 update, an auction garage costs 65K in-game Cash. Two player videos show that price.
The Robux store also lists two garages on October 30, 2026: Open a Regular Garage at 95 Robux and Open a Premium Garage at 179 Robux. The store does not say whether either one is the 65K Cash garage at the auction house, so we treat them as separate items. By our calculation from the store prices on October 30, 2026, 95 Robux is worth about 54,900 Cash and 179 Robux about 103,500 Cash at the best Cash pack rate. Our page on Mechanic Legends Robux prices lists every item in the store.
What do you get from an auction garage?
You get one random car. It can be a bad car or a very rare one, and you find out only after you open the garage.
One creator saw the auction stock on a refresh timer with two minutes left, so the garages on offer change over time. No source we have says how long the full timer runs or what the odds of a rare car are. We will add those once a source shows them.
Auction garage or junkyard car?
At the junkyard you can check a car before you pay. Hold E on it and the inspection panel lists its condition, damaged parts, repairs, market value and asking price. That tells you the margin on a flip before you spend anything.
An auction garage gives you none of that. You pay 65K Cash first and see the car after.
Junkyard spots also show percentages such as 9% and 11%. No source we have explains what they mean, so we would go by the inspection panel instead.
For steady Cash, we would stick with junkyard flips and customer jobs. Our page on how to make money in Mechanic Legends covers both.
When to open one
We would open an auction garage only when two things are true:
- You already have enough Cash set aside to buy and repair your next junkyard car.
- The 65K would not leave you short if the car that comes out is a bad one.
If both hold, a garage is a fair way to chase a rare car with Cash you can spare. If either fails, the junkyard is the better use of the money, because you can see what you are buying.
